The Centre for Lifelong Legal Education and Professional Development is a structural unit of the Faculty of Law. Its purpose is to engage the Faculty’s academic staff in providing lifelong legal education and professional development services, developing national and international projects, enhancing the Faculty’s contribution to the general legal culture in Latvia, and transferring legal knowledge, skills, and abilities to wider society - representatives of professional organisations, state or local government employees, as well as private individuals.
The main activities of the Centre include lifelong legal education and professional development training for professional legal organisations, state and local government institutions, and private individuals.
In addition to working with legal professionals, the Centre develops and organises courses and lectures for non-legal professionals, conducts research, and provides opinions on current legal issues.
